The Philadelphia Zoo Earns Encyclopedia Britannica’s “Best of the Web” Award for 2009
From December 2007 through April 2009, I was the primary content creator and editor for the Philadelphia Zoo’s official website. I was responsible for all of the content on the site, which changed quickly and often. Under my management, the Zoo’s website was selected as a recipient of Encyclopedia Britannica’s “Web’s Best Sites” Award for 2009.
During my first year as webmaster for The Philadelphia Zoo, I increased page views by 1.5 million, increased site visitors nearly 10% to more than 1 million annually for the first time, and dropped the bounce rate by nearly 25% to a strong 22.98% site-wide.
