Jim Kelly Sketch
Dec 13th
A year or so ago, I came across an eBay auction for black-and-white 8×10 photo of an “unknown Blaxploitation actor”. I recognized the person immediately as Jim Kelly, the martial arts star who appeared in Bruce Lee’s Enter the Dragon, as well as Black Belt Jones and Three the Hard Way. The photo, which I won for a buck or two, turned out to be an original promotional still for the 1974 AIP film Golden Needles, also starring Joe Don Baker. In October, 2010, I had the pleasure of meeting Jim Kelly at a convention outside New York City, where he signed the original still for me.
The Perfect Mother’s Day Gift!

Forget the same old flowers and chocolates stuff – she’s tired of it by now. Take her out to dinner? It’s sweet, but fleeting – a month later neither of you will remember what you had or what you talked about.
